- How long does it take?
The accepted time scale for Real Estate Search Engine Optimization is 6 months. All of our campaigns are based on this fact HOWEVER for most keyword terms you can expect to see results in the first 1-2 months, as seen by our recent customer success stories
Note – Even for large budget clients we will NOT generate too many links in any one month as this can be seen as link baiting and actually lower your web sites search rankings.
- How many links do I need?
The number of incoming links your web site requires is dictated by your competitors websites. For less competitive markets we have seen significant results in only 1 month where more competitive markets may take 3-4 months to see results.
- Search Engine Submissions
There is no reason to submit your website to the major search engines and it will NOT increase your websites rankings contrary to many companies advertising. 1 incoming link from an “important” web site is all it takes to be included in Google and Yahoo’s search index.
However we do submit your website to approximately 200 minor search engines whose search robots may have missed your website and can provide a valuable source of additional traffic.
(TIP – avoid any company offering to submit your website to thousands of search engines – they are talking about FFA Sites (Free for All) – links from these websites can get you penalized and or banned from the major search engines)
- Reciprocal Links / Link Exchange
2 years ago the process of exchanging links with other websites (reciprocal linking) became extremely popular and an effective way of generating more incoming links. However Google now assigns little value to reciprocal links and so we only use this form of link building in extremely competitive real estate markets.
